It came fully assembled and the drawers and baskets were all sturdy and fit properly in the bench. The color is as pictured also and it is a great bench to go by the door to sit on and put on shoes ( or leave purse etc by door). The 3 drawers and 3 baskets are great for storing small items

Good piece for the money

I use this at the end of my bed, I store blankets on the top and use it as a sitting bench when I put on my shoes. I use the drawers to store clothing accessories - tights, caps, leggings, tank tops. Although you CAN sit on this bench, I don't think it's made as a bench and it's not advertised as so. I'm an average sized woman and I'm careful with it, I'm not sure how much sitting it will take. If I sat hard I'm pretty sure it would crack. It came well packaged, without damage.* The knobs were screwed on backwards for storage, and easy to switch. For the money I think this is an excellent buy! The only reasons I gave 4 instead of 5 stars. *(1) There is one area where the wood was assembled - at the seam the paint is cracking and you can see a bit of the raw wood underneath. Oh how I wish these furniture companies would get on board with supplying a small tube of touch up paint for all those little nicks that are bound to happen in assembly or shipping! (2) The basket drawers "shed" some type of paint or wood dust when you take them in and out, so I have little flecks on my floor every time I open and shut them. I'm hoping this will go away after a few months. (3) Overall this is a very light piece, and the wood on the upper drawers is very thin. I'm OK with that because I was able to transport it by myself up stairs and because I'd prefer real wood to plastic or press-board. That being said, I don't think it would hold up under rough use or kids. Overall I'm happy and would recommend/buy again.
