Super cute & perfect for cats!

Not bad for the price

Pretty much, what you see is what you get... unlike a lot of shady cat-condo's that photoshop in a tiny cat to make the cat condo seem huge, when it barely fits an adult cat, this cathouse is actually very well sized for your average adult cat. Attached is a photo of our full grown cat on the roof. As for the steps on the side... others have complained about sturdiness... I find they seem to be very sturdy for a cat... though to be honest, neither my cat, nor most any other cat i've known over the years would probably even use the steps... cats love to jump, and mine jumps up top on the non-step side over the rail... she could care less about the steps, but loves the vantage point from the roof.Assembling the cathouse wasn't too complicated and my daughter and I put it together pretty quickly... as for the materials and quality... well... we did get one leg of the house with a long crack in it... i glued it back together and I don't forsee any big problem coming from that, but whatever you want to take from that. The roof is removable after assembly, so you can easily add/remove things from inside the house if need-be.As for it being an "outdoor" cathouse... yes, it should be fine for being outdoors, i've had mine out in the Florida rain for over a month now, it's holding up just fine so far. One thing of note... the wood slats that make up the house are NOT, I repeat, NOT tightly fitted together... I shined a light behind the roof panel and you can see large gaps in the roof... as-is out-of-the-box, if a cat were to try and use this house to stay dry in rain, you'll have a very wet cat... the roof will leak like crazy to the inside. My solution was to seal the underside of the roof panel with waterproof Flex Tape... see pics (no, I did not cut the house in half before putting it back together with the power of Flex Tape). I'm sure there's other ways to weatherproof the roof, I found this to be the simplest method. You could probably caulk the gaps as well, but I just wanted to point out, out-of-the-box, this wont keep a cat inside the house dry in a rain, the roof will leak on them without you doing something extra to waterproof it.Overall i'm happy with the house, but I did have to put a little extra effort into it to make it more suitable for outdoor use.

Cute, functional cat house.

This is a great little outdoor cat house. The directions were easy to understand and it was easy to build. House is light weight and easy to move. We put it on the porch for the neighborhood cat. She loves to sit on the top and look around. Not sure about how long the steps will hold up as they are not that sturdy, however she just jumps to the top without using them. The top can be lifted out to clean inside or put a bed in. Inside is big enough for a couple cats to relax and gives them shelter. Great for the summer and warmer times as it allows for air flow.

Nice addition to patio

Our cat loves this especially the balcony because she can see everywhere. I put this on top of a small patio side table so it was higher and more off the ground for weather. My cat would not go in the bottom when it was so low on the patio. This house gives our cat a place to stay warm and dry during bad weather and a fun place to lay in sunny weather on the top
