Featuring smooth and delicate appearance, the snow slider is a perfect gift for your kid and don't hesitate to buy it!
Its workmanship is great, the operation is simple, the price is favorable, my son likes it very much.
When the snow is on the ground I know what the kids will want to do after assembling this snow sled with steering wheel! Wish I was a kid again. I know it says it will hold 220 lbs. but I don’t see me getting on this even though the construction seems solid! I would like to talk a little bit about assembly and the instructions. Instructions have photos and parts list. Make sure you have everything before you start assembly. They do provide an open ended wrench, an Allen wrench that you will use and the Allen wrench has a Philips screwdriver on one end which you will not be using. Be sure to check things over carefully and observe the frame and all parts. One of the plastic plugs was missing in the end of the metal tube on ours. These were pre assembled. I can see the plugs may fall out easy, so you may want to epoxy or use some window and door caulk to hold them in. The unit comes with the spring and the brake assembly already installed. That is a plus as the manual is very vague on the assembly of this. I was very thankful it was pre-installed. When you go to put on the plastic rear skies, Item # 17 again the manual does not describe what you need to do. The end of the ski has a square type hole in it and this slips over the metal end of the frame and then do not be afraid but slowly bend the plastic ski down so you can bolt it in on the metal frame. I want to say also that this plastic material is suppose to withstand -40 F temps, in other words the plastic should not break or crack under cold conditions. The manual forgets about showing you how to put on the seat, but when you have 4 bolts left over and a seat it is pretty easy to figure out what you need to do. The manual also leaves out the pull cord assembly and I assumed where they have a small hole drilled in the front of the metal frame is where you tie this. The only thing you need to really pay attention to and not make the mistake I did is when you put on the #4 steering column make sure the metal that is welded to the column is at the top. This is the limiter that you will see on the frame it comes in contact with so the kids can not turn the steering wheel to far to the left or right and cause a roll over or crash. LOOK closely at the photo and don’t get in a hurry, reason everything out as again the manual is not using sentences for assembly. I know this is going to be fun for the kids and I can’t wait to watch them having fun bringing back my childhood days of laying down on my old style sled. This one is so much cooler!
My family and I like skiing very much, especially my son. This sled is very easy to use, beautifully made, affordable and great value for money.
