Takes a little patience on the owners part to show your dog how to use it. I think it’s a little bulky for the car And I don’t use it for that. But if your dog is a little older and has difficulty going up or down the stairs (ie. Patio steps).this is the next best thing and will do wonders for your dog. No more struggling and discomfort. I have a set of three steps and purchased the 7ft for gradual slope.

Easy for the Dog Parent

This ramp is a sturdy, and easy for the dog parent. My husband and I really liked this ramp, but we couldn’t get our 9 year old that have a few special needs to be comfortable with it. That is the only reason we returned this ramp.

easy to unfold and use

Light weight, easy to unfold and use. I bought this for fathers day so my husband didn't have to pick up our 75# dog and lift him in and out of the back of the truck. I walked up it and its definitely sturdy. Should have bought this sooner.

Construction is sturdy, my dog slips on the sandpapery stuff, so I glued on some scrap carpet and he goes right up. I half expected I'd do that from other reviews. Also, the cheap latch that keeps it closed when folded was broken when it arrived, but I really wouldn't have used it anyway. I actually stood on it when it was propped across the stairs, I'm about 164lbs, it felt plenty sturdy and not wiggly. My 100lb Golden does great on it now.

Great product and quick delivery

Great product and quick delivery; however, unfortunately I had to return because I lost my pet to cancer. I would certainly purchase again if/when I get a new pet.

I love this ramp but I wish it was a bit wider for the giant breeds.

Our old Golden Retriever took to the ramp readily after the jump up and down from our high deck SUV became too much and I got tired of lifting him. The weight and construction quality of this aluminum ramp are excellent. Welding and hinges are fine. There are some sharp edges to be aware of and take care with when putting the ramp in and out of your vehicle (watch those leather seats), but they can be rounded off or left if you don't want or need to put in the extra effort. The little latch that keeps the ramp from unfolding during handling is not as strong as it could be, but the hinges on ours are tight enough that it really isn't necessary as it stays folded under their resistance and allow for controlled unfolding. A well-made product worth the cost.
