Why did you choose this product over others?: This product has great reviews and is a brand I had heard of and seen in stores before. I knew we would be traveling and my 3 year old son would sleep in a "big kid bed". We bought this because he had fallen out of his toddler bed before. It did prevent him from falling out of the bed despite his protests that it wasn't needed!! This guardrail feels very sturdy and is easy to adjust once you know how it works. It definitely wouldn't work well with a platform bed if the mattress is a little saggy (as mentioned above), but it is doable. This helps ensure our son is safe while traveling - we've already traded it for a full size bed at home and continue to use it.
