Works fantastic.I like the clean out feature. You turn the knob and press down a few times to wring out the sponges.I use this in a 1200 gallon tank with 2 large and 8 smaller fish.Would deffinately recommend this product.

Tigerclaw try using vaseline on the seal gasket it'll make it swell up. So that it'll not leak anymore. I have one and never had a problem with that. I've had it four years. Vaseline on the seal it'll help it swell up you know how rubber is when you put oil to it. Just thought you should .know

Love this filter!

I was struggling with past filter set ups. The filters were hard to clean, and clogged fast. The back flush feature is supper handy, and the UV light being integrated means less hoses. This all in one solution has been great. I have not had any leaks like others, but I can say everything has to fit back together just so after opening the main filter. It uses a V-Ban to close, and the gasket likes to bunch up.

Bought this for our Koi Pond

Bought this unit for our koi pond because the water stayed dirty and green. After about a week, this unit solved this issue. This unit has kept our pond looking nice and we can see the fish at all times. Glad we bought it.

Life of this filter

I think I should share my experience of this filter. The material was made from cheap plastic so It can not handle well with the heat and cold. At first, I used the TetraPond Water Garden Pump 100W. My pond is 2000 gallons. After 6 months the filter was cracked. Water leaked on the top at the screws. I got the new filter and changed the pump to TetraPond Water Garden Pump 75W. Just passed a year, the filter was cracked again. After that, I have changed the new pump, TRUPOW 2000GPH Waterfall Salt Fresh Submersible Garden Pond Pump, 50W. So far so good. Just passed a year . My conclusion is you should use small pump (max 50W) for this kind of filter.

Good value but lid cover leaks from high pressures.

Hooked up to a small 400GPH water pump for a small pond. The lid cover gasket leaks from pressure so had to reduce the pump output. I dont see this thing handling any pump greater than 300-400GPH. Made it work for me and does not leak as long as I keep water flow low. Good value overall other than that.
