Purchased the split unit to go onto me office in my metal barn. Heating used to be a kerosene heater or a small space heater, both took up needed floor space. As for A/C, doors open or closed and a fan. This unit mounted high on the wall has kept the office at 73°F with no problem at all and nothing to trip over. Also it's quieter than the refrigerator I have in there as well. Got the idea from my sister and her two units in Pennsylvania. The only outside help I needed was getting someone with the correct plumbing fittings to evacuate the copper lines between the indoor and outdoor units. Went together just like the manual said it would. I poured the cement pad and welded the rack so the outdoor unit wouldn't sit in the soft ground behind the barn. No trouble there, probably overkill but it makes me feel better.
