When i was searching for a massage chair i really didn’t know what i wanted. I thought a closed in all in one full body chair was what i wanted but after ordering one from another site and actually trying it out the seating felt really tight and cramped im 200 lbs if your thin you’ll fit in anything but if your average that closed in feeling can be overwhelming especially on the shoulders, so i realized that an open design like this one would better suit my needs because my shoulders already hurt that closed in full body style just wasn’t for me. However this model has a nice wide and deep seat the back is long and open top design wins for me . I like this i can place my elbows rite on top of the armrests or back out wherever they end up and it sure beats the heck out of being boxed up like the full body styles that enclose your arm and hand under the armrests that was awful. The material is really soft and has a real leather look and feel nobody would question it that’s for sure. It certainly wipes easy. I am 5’6 and i really think any taller than that yes your feet would hang over but the back of the chair is so long if you scoot up more it really encompasses the majority of your body, I flipped that neck cushion back and out of the way and my head fits nice there and gets a good massage on the neck and head. I knew i was going to lose the foot massage like the coffin ⚰️ style chairs ? had but if that’s the trade off for having an open top design i am ok with that. The calf massagers hit me just rite and they can be gentle or can increase with intensity adjustments I like it like that though, the pressure around the legs start low and if you want to frank it up you can the closed in version starts like you can’t find that button fast enough to turn it down I almost flipped the chair for fear I couldn’t get the pressure to turn down fast enough ?? but this model is absolutely gentle to start which was important. Another thing this model has the gentle glide up to upright position after the 20 minutes you can either take another ride with the tap of a button or if you’ve fallen asleep you can realize that and just get up and go to bed. The other model didn’t it would stay reclined after the massage stopped and i would fall asleep and wake up sore and have to find the remote from a reclined position and wait for the feet to slowly go down that was something else i thought i wanted but after all much happier with the automatic sit up design. It’s a 2D that’s not the latest version i think there probably up to at least 5D in other models by now but i really don’t need a more sophisticated massage if it lacks comfort. Over all this chair really has sufficient massage it goes up and down and side to side goes all the way to the tailbone area and has a soft medium and intense massage setting. The remote does not have a lighted face that would be my only complaint but it is on a cord connected to the chair so you can’t lose it and it works rite out the box no internet needed or complicated set up function. Just plug ? and play with the remote. I hope this helps someone decide a bit more informed as I really clang to reviews with not many good details. It was more of a trial and error experience but overall really glad with this purchase it’s sturdy and feels like it will last i have had it 7 months and use every night before bed helps the arthritis and stiffness so i can sleep ?!
