31/25/18 Inch Fireplace Grate for Outdoor Fire Pit

My old grate in my outdoor firepit rusted out and gave out. I went looking for new, and maybe a little bigger to fill the whole firepit. I found this one, a perfect size to fit edge to edge, and just had to get one of these. I was not disappointed; this one is really nice. First off, very easy to assemble. The bars are all the same size, and they just fit one after the other to both stands. The bars already had the bolts welded on, so all I had to do was put on the taps, tighten them with the included wrench, and it was ready to go. Secondly, it fits perfectly to size into my firepit, and I am so happy about that. It goes edge to edge of the firepit walls and just looks great in it. Lastly, I am so happy that it holds up great to weather and to some pretty hot fires as well. No cons, it really worked out great for me, and I am very happy with the purchase.

This was a lot heavier of a grate than we previously had in our fireplace. With the old one, the logs/wood would roll off the back of the grate. Also, the previous owner had used one too small for our fireplace's size. This one fits great and it holds the logs very well. I am not disappointed in the grate. Let's see how long it will last under intense heat coming off wood fires, but should be perfectly fine with gas fires.

I am most satisfied with its size and thickness, and the price is right. I don't think there is a better original wood frame.

I browsed a lot of similar products on Amazon, but settled on this one. The shelf is well made, very thick, and I think it can hold more wood, which is enough.

Items are purchased as substitutes. Shopping locally, the best I could find was a stamped steel structure for $30 and up. It weighs twice as much and looks better. Heavy duty, beautiful, cost-effective.
