The snow rake works very well so far. I grab a chunk at a time, starting at the eave and moving left and right while slowly working my way up to the peak, adding new sections to the pole as needed. If the snow if hard I let the rake drop through the snow then pull. You can’t take too much at once if the snow is sticky. Previous clumps of snow form ice lumps and ridges making it difficult to drag the rake over the roof. I had lumps and ridges due to snow falling from trees and from someone previously shoveling off my roof, so now when I use this rake I make sure to leave the roof smooth so it’ll be easier the next time.
Light weight and when below the blade is a good thinking. Hopefully it will last some time . I would say , overall it is very good buy.
This allows you to clear snow without a ladder. Works best on fresh power or none iced over roofs. Will still work on ice ones but does go slower. I cleared a both sides of a 5/12 pitched 20x21 steel roof in under 15 minutes. Only negative is the small screws that hold the snow plate on needs washers. After 3 days of use the screws started to pull through the snow plate. . Love the light weight.
Easy to use when fully extended. This is my second one the first lasted over 10years.
I wouldn't use this rake for removing snow from a car because I'd worry about scratching the paint, but for dragging snow off a roof, it's a pretty good bet. It's made from lightweight aluminum tubes and end pieces, which makes it fairly easy to use. You can adjust the handle length to your needs. I used it to remove about 8" of wet snow from my greenhouse roof (corrugated plastic panels) and it was a five minute job which I was able to manage from the ground. I don't know how long it will last, but it seems sturdy enough to me. It solves a problem.
