    Cat hotel

Cats are funny. Some are very curious, some are much more reserved. My two feral cats checked it out, but stayed away for awhile and then ,,"its ours". Put it all together, took it apart then reassembled with glue and corner brackets to add stability to it. Worked for me and the cats. And, lined it with a thin carpet material to help keep it warmer.

A little smaller then I expected but my cats love them.

We moved and I had to move my cats to an outside Catio. I love my babies and wanted them to be as comfortable as possible. I searched and read a lot of reviews. I decided to choose this one. The pictures made it look bigger then it actually was and the directions are only pictures which made assembly a little difficult. It did come together, but also the wood split in some places because it wasn’t as sturdy as wood should be. I was very nervous. My husband had to wood glue the splits back together. They have been using it for the past month and I can say that the wood glue has held. They are weather proof and my large cats do fit inside of them. My cats seem to love them and it keeps them happy so that alright to me!

    Love it

It's just the material I'm looking for. Assembly is simple. Everything I want and more. I'm really happy with this purchase.

Very small, bad smell, inferior wood and missing some pre-drilled holes.

I knew it would not be pristine, I've bought animal houses over the years, but they mediocre quality has declined. Unfortunate. What I like: Compact, I can lift the roof off for cleaning, cat can exit if threatened. I really like the roof. Easy to assemble *with a power drill*. What I disliked: It is very small. There is enough size for a medium sized cat on the upper level. I should have paid attention to the picture and actual measurements. It is a kitten in the one pic. It is big if you have a kitten. The hinge on the roof is covered in super sticky whatever it is - good thing I'm not attaching it to the hinge. The wood quality is inconsistent throughout. The best of the wood is low grade. It will absolutely have to be painted. I had intended to, anyway. There is a strong, nose stinging smell...and franky, when I opened the box, the styrofoam sheets looked to have been sprayed with something. If I had to guess, it was a fake cedar scent that just really burned your nose hairs. I actually took it all outside and washed it off after I'd assembled it. No cat would go directly into it with that smell. There were also fiberglass fibers (why, I do not know) all over the pieces. I am covered in slivers of fiberglass and itching. There was no fiberglass material in the boxes, only styrofoam paper and pieces. Weird. The holes are drilled on the side pieces, but not on the front and back pieces you drill into, so, when you hit that wood, even though it is cheap wood, it is difficult to drill into without a hand drill. It would be a nightmare for a woman to have to screw it together with a hand screwdriver. Bottom line is it is cheap in price and quality. It will work best on covered porches. It will last roughly two years in moderate climes outside of a covered porch, but you will need to place it on something other than the direct ground. Cheap materials. Very cheap. Design is cute, but really, probably you could find a better one online. I am disappointed, but not going to go through the hassle of returning. I'll upgrade what I can and paint it.
