This is a nice size portable air conditioning unit for a small room. It’s easy to setup and comes with the necessary accessories to hook it up to a window. It seems easy to adjust temperature and control the cooling level. I thought operations were pretty straight forward overall Seems like a nice idea for hot summer nights when you want to cool off

- Q:Can this be used as a stand alone? Without connecting to a window.A:No.
Costway representative - Q:Can the A/C be used without the hoses? Does it come with an water full alarm?A:This AC is equipped with overflow protection. However, we recommend that you use this product with a drain for prolonged dehumidification.
Costway representative - Q:Will this unit drain on its own if I have the drainage pipe already connected and the pipe already set to drain outside the window the exhaust pipe is hooked up to?A:This portable air conditioner can only drain water by gravity.
Costway representative - Q:If I run the hose out to my window while using the AC continuously can I avoid having to empty the unit when full. My other one that I replaced allows this, the difference between the two is the bottom outlet on this unit does not allow the hose to hook up, only the top. I do not want to have to bother with emptying the unit.A:The drainpipe is gravity-fed and can run out to window as long as it doesn't interfere with the drainage.But when you turn on the air conditioner, you should close all the windows.
