There appears to be a bad connection somewhere, switch does nothing. In order to find the break I would need to completely disassemble the entire body. Overall build quality is mediocre. Held together by self tapping screws in soft plastic. Axels are metal but nested in plastic, time will tell if they can handle our yard. I wonder if it will last until my son outgrows it, whereas the metal and plastic pedal tractor I had as a kid is probably still kicking around somewhere.

I wonder if it will last until my son outgrows it, whereas the metal and plastic pedal tractor I had as a kid is probably still kicking around somewhere.

It has never run at all. The lights have not ever turned on, or music ever played. It has never powered up. We have connected the battery, and tried disconnecting then reconnecting. Wires look connected properly.What more can I do ?

First check whether the battery power socket is normal. Secondly check to see if the connector with 6 row wires on the receiving board is loose and in poor contact Then pry out the one-key start switch to check whether the three plugs on the one-key start switch have fallen off.
