A wonderful addition to my deck.
I was really impressed with this kit, all the parts came together and the whole kit had almost no dents or bumps. Everything was assembled very neatly and it was much sturdier than our last kit. The fit and finish was amazing for the price. I also liked that it came with privacy, curtains and screens, and the zippers worked really well. When assembled, the roof panels fit very tightly, even if it didn't look like it was a perfect fit, the holes lined up, and once tightened, the roof was very sturdy and durable.
Our previous house had a canvas roof with thin rails that were damaged by the wind. We now wanted a house with larger posts and a more rigid roof. I did 95% of the work myself and although it took several weekends and 4-6 hour shifts at a time, it was worth it to have it finished and looking so beautiful in the end. It was time consuming to get all the parts, beams and roof panels off the ground, but it was clearly marked with stickers and even came with two fabric bags to hold the small parts. The roof hooks were a nice touch, as were the hooks to attach the curtains to the posts and the curtain rail system.
This thing is solid...although it was a bit problematic to put together. I just can't imagine how creative one person must be to do this all by themselves! OMG! My wife, brother, father-in-law...not all at once but in bits and pieces. Some of the roof support poles have holes in the back but they don't seem to be leaking so my wife thinks they are supposed to be that way. I also had a hard time getting those outside pieces that hold the roof pieces in place...several of them barely went on. The instructions were a pain but I mean...it's been put together and it seems to work. Will see if it can hold up to some serious storms when hurricane season rolls around down south. -=80)
