Wooden Platform Bed with Headboard and Wood Slat Support White

rarely write reviews but wanted to write this one. My wife and I have considered many options for king size beds and so far this one has been a pleasant surprise to us. First I wanted to confirm that this bed frame will fit a king size mattress. The dimensions listed in the pictures are a little misleading as it is shorter than the length of a queen size bed. The instructions were easy to follow with only pictures. Some instructions were not clear enough and resulted in assembly corrections later. For example, at step 10, the holes in the plastic liner should be facing inward or upright. We did not realize this until step 17. Total assembly time using power tools was 4 hours and 15 minutes. This was done with the help of my 15 year old daughter. If using power tools, be careful with torque adjustment so that the metal does not bend from over tightening. It is recommended to have a helper to at least hold some of the parts during assembly. As with assembling any product, make sure all parts are in place and not damaged before you begin. I have all the parts except for one that has minor wear that is barely noticeable. I have low pile carpet so the drawers are easy to move and align. In the future I may design tracks for the wheels to slide into. However, we only put blankets in it so it is not used often. The shipment came in two large boxes approximately 5-7 days apart. Each box weighed approximately 90 lbs. Very solid, no noise or squeaks, all holes lined up perfectly.

The seller was very good to communicate with when we had shipping issues. The bed itself came in two separate boxes. There are so many parts to assemble so be prepared. It took my capable boyfriend about 2 and a half hours to get it done. Most of that time was unboxing lol!! So worth it. It's beautiful!! Super sturdy. Can get in and out, can rock, and doesn't squeak! We bought the matching dresser and will be buying the nightstands next! Just waiting for the right offer to come along.

The bed frame I purchased looks very sturdy. The pictures look very similar to the bed I received. I like the grey washed color. It still took us quite some time to assemble it even though the pieces are labeled. Be careful not to put the pieces in backwards though, as we did one and had to backtrack a few steps. This bed is in the guest bedroom and is rarely used except for 3-4 months of the year when it is moved from the master bedroom (on the other side of the house) to the guest bedroom to save electricity. So I have slept in this bed every day from January to now late March and it has worked fine. I also like that the drawers have wheels, like the baskets, so they can roll around so you don't have to worry about damaging the drawer grooves by sliding the drawers in and out all the time. And the drawer capacity is also very large, which is great for entertaining guests. However, for a single bedroom, you will need to invest in a dresser or a suitable wardrobe.
