Modern and Stylish Functionality

This sofa was one of the first items I put on my wishlist when shopping on this site. We finally got rid of our old sofa and slowly piecing together the modern styling I have envisioned for my living room. The sofa came in a large box and shipping was fast. I honestly thought the box would be bigger, but the sofa actually folds in the middle with hinges which allowed it to come in a more compact format. Assembly was pretty straight forward, you just slide the arms on and screw on the legs. The arms were pretty tight going on, and I strongly recommend doing it prior to attaching the legs per the instructions in order to let the couch sit flat on the floor for stability. I read in earlier reviews that holes didn’t seem to line up. At first, I though that might be the issue when I was putting the legs on the middle section where they straddle the hinges. However, I realized that the trick is to screw each bolt in just a little at a time going around all fours holes in equally small increments. This keeps the bolts straight and helps to get the two halves to come together.
My first thoughts on the sofa: It is a lower sitting height than my old sofa, so that is something to get used to. I was afraid that it would be a pet hair magnet, and I was slightly concerned about its stability. The color is a deep teal rather than a navy or blue. Having read reviews of this and having purchased a matching chair, I knew that in advance and had wanted this specific color anyway.

After living with it in our living room for a few weeks, here are the pros and cons that I found:
Cons: There isn’t a lot of padding on the seats. If you are reclined, you can feel some of the springs and the ridge in the middle where the two halves meet. When we have someone use it as a bed to sleep on, I will use a mattress topper for a more comfortable night. A kid or a teenager probably wouldn’t care much. I also wouldn’t recommend this for someone who has kids or teens who are prone to jumping on furniture or rough-housing or plopping hard on it. I’ve had plenty of furniture ruined by such shenanigans, and this couch wouldn’t fare much better.
Pros: I love the color. The deep teal is very attractive and goes well with the color scheme in my living room. The style is very modern and the lines are clean. The clearance under the sofa allows for easy cleaning and accommodate any sweeper or vacuum. The weight is substantial enough to not slip and slide when you go to sit or stand up, but light enough to slide out when you recline the back (it also has non-marking felt sliders pre-attached to the feet to aide on hard surfaced floors). It is so easy to lay the sofa flat into a bed, or just pop one side down. This is absolutely my favorite thing about this couch as I have a dog, cats, and kid that like to cuddle up and hang out while watching TV or movies. Being able to almost instantly double the area where we can all fit is really wonderful, and I enjoy those special moments immensely.

I was pleasantly surprised by how resistant the fabric is to attracting and holding on to pet hair, it really doesn’t, however it can get picked by sharp claws. The stability has been just fine for my family, even with my dog jumping up on it and all the cuddle piles. I’ve even used it as my work from home spot a few days and as it is more firm than my previous couch, it was much better for my back and concentration.

Altogether, I’m very happy with this purchase and find the features really fit well with my family’s lifestyle.

You get what you pay for

I didn't expect a lot so wasn't disappointed. As other reviewers had said, some of the bolt holes were misaligned. Was also short one bolt. It looks ok though and isn't uncomfortable for sitting. No one's slept on it yet.

I am pleased with the quality of the fabric and it was delivered in a timely fashion.

The sofa was delivered in a timely fashion and looks beautiful in the room. The only issue we had was a tear on the inside of the arm but luckily it was hidden by the couch. Otherwise very pleased with the sofa.

Modern look, nice vibrant colors. Legs were a little scraped and some of the bolts didn't exactly go into the drilled holes, but quite manageable -

More than what you pay for.

You get more than what you pay for. This isnt the best futon but it is definitely worth more than the cost. The cloth is nice. It goes together Very easily. I would definitely recomend to someone looking for something for a kids room or play area.
