  • Black Chair

This chair is very sturdy and the price is very good! I love it.

  • Good quality; sturdy chair

For the price, these chairs are excellent quality. Are they the sleekest and most trendy? No. But they're elegant, timeless, and go with just about anything. They're also incredibly sturdy, and I haven't seen any of them show signs of wear. The frames are metal, so they can withstand a beating. The seats are softer, so unless my cat scratches them (thankfully, that hasn't happened yet), they should last a long time. I bought six a few years ago when we realized our old set was awful and we were getting no use out of it. They worked so well that we bought four more (we now have a larger table). I expect the frames to last a long time, and when the seats start to show wear, I might reupholster them (though it looks like that's a while away).

  • Very impressed with the price

Given the relatively low prices, I wasn't sure what to expect. I live alone and currently have four chairs at my dining table, with only two left upstairs because I never have dinner over. One is there "just in case," usually to keep something like a feather duster close at hand but out of sight. The wooden chairs I bought were also inexpensive and sturdy enough, but over time they've become less comfortable than I need them to be, as I now spend more time sitting at the dining table working remotely on my computer. The design of the wooden frame and padding means the edges of the chairs dig into my thighs uncomfortably. At 6'2" and weighing around 300 pounds, I wanted a sturdy chair. The chairs arrived, and each box was a different size (I ordered two chairs), so I initially worried I'd bought the wrong one. Both chairs fit perfectly. All metal parts are wrapped in wrap-around foam tape to prevent damage during shipping, and the seats are tucked into the frame for protection. Both pieces of furniture arrived in perfect condition. The seat covers only require four screws, but I had to tighten them a bit after I sat down because the first cover I sat on made an unpleasant noise as it was being fixed, and one of the screws slipped down the screw hole that holds everything together. However, the seats, while not soft at all and quite firm, are still quite comfortable compared to the seats on the chairs they are replacing. I no longer want to sit on anything that would dig, as the cushions are more raised, the edges slope slightly downward, and the seat is completely covered by the frame, so there's no digging. Sitting for long periods does cause some numbness, but I can stand up, walk a short distance around the house, and then sit back down again, feeling like I've been reset and have more time to myself. Since I usually sit forward, the lack of cushioning isn't a concern. But when I lean back, the curve of the backrest is just right, and even leaning against the uncushioned metal back is comfortable. It's beautiful, sturdy, and comfortable even for someone like me, who is larger in stature. For the price, it's a real bargain.
