Cuts fries they way I want.

This is a commercial potato cutter. It is heavy. I bought the suction cups to hold it down while cutting potatoes as without being held down, it slides towards you. For me, it is too much of an effort to unscrew the various cutting plates to wash them. I just put the whole dang thing in the sink and wash it! Much easier. I will have to change the plates for different potato cuts though. The grandkids like the skinny fries like the fast food places sell, so I leave that plate in. I am pleased. Easy to use now that I put suction cups on it.

Assembly is Difficult

Once you figure out how to assemble the cutter, it is a great way to make french fries. Glad my husband could get it put together with very little directions!Ordered suction cups separately and very glad I did, they work very well with this unit. So far I have not changed the cutting blade and pusher so I am not sure how that will work out. 1/4 inch cutter makes In and Out size fries. Cooked them in an air fryer with a little olive oil for a delicious treat at home!

I am a canner, and this slicer sure makes it easier to slice my potatoes, carrots, and sweet potatoes for canning. Built sturdy. Easy to assemble.

This needs to be solidly mounted to a counter or a board that can be clamped to a counter

The construction is solid. Changing the blades is easy, but changing the pusher block requires a screwdriver. I've used it on potatoes and onions. Both are sliced cleanly. It will also work on other solid veggies. If you try to strongarm hold this while trying to cut a potato you are in for a fight. Mounting the unit to a base you can clamp to the counter makes it much more usable if you can't bolt it directly to a counter

I kept buying the plastic cutter and get a few uses before they crack and got to throw them out but being this one is cast iron and steel won’t have that problem again the only bad part is it is something that needs to be mounted I am not putting holes in my counter tops I got a towel under it not to scratch my counter tops so I am sliding a lot

A quality fry cutter.

A high quality heavy duty fry cutter, it takes some effort to push the potatoes through, but overall works very well. You can make a lot of French fries in a short time!

I like the way it works, you just have to have upper body strength to operate it.

Good but need improvement on stability .

This machine is very good . the only downside on it is that it has no sunction on the base to keep it from moving when using it.
