This was our first charcoal grill and we lived how simple it was to put together. Definitely recommend! The smoker on the side was such a huge plus

Easy to put together; more than one burn off needed

This was a breeze to put together. Very thin metal. My last smoker lasted 15 years. Hope to get 5 from this one. Pretty cheap formed sheet metal but for the money it’s good. Burning off grill now to burn off paint/chemicals from heat areas. Surprised that after about 40 minutes of intense heat in smoker and grill (2 fires), fumes are still pretty strong. I believe it’s the heated paint. Will repeat tomorrow. Hopefully it all burns off on next one. Don’t want that garbage on my food. Admittedly I expected it to be a little beefier, but I’m fine with it.

All in all a decent smoker for the money. But, do yourself a favor... get a friend or spouse to help you put it together. It's pretty flimsy until it's all bolted down. Also, order some insulation tape for the smoke leaks around the lids and order some zip ties to help hold the bottom basket in place... that thing won't stay on as designed.

Don't use a waterproof plate, just barbecue on the shelf.
