This is the first time we have a ice maker. Our ice maker in the fridge is broken and that's why I bought this. The ice made with the maker are small like crushed size. The machine make them pretty quick and it does not keep cold, thus you will need to freeze them or use them as soon as possible. Because of that, whenever you make ice, they melt during the process and some water will go into the residue compartment and you have to drain them afterward. It is different than what I thought it is but do the job.
