New Bike with Reliable Safety Mechanism

My husband installed this into our garage ceiling for storage of our two bicycles. It is perfect because they are easy to have at hand when time for riding yet not taking up floor space in the small garage .

For the price, this is not a horrible product assuming you are going for the standard bike storage. It performes like it should however, it's not as cut and dry (plug and play) as advertised. Cons: *The instructions are horrible (don't count on them) *The spacing and mounting of the pulleys are critical but left to the imagination of the user *The hooks have good lateral movement but needed to be more angled at the tips (more secure grip) *Understand what direction your rafters run in comparison to how you are trying to hang your bike Pros: *Good price *Somewhat flexible on bike size (not the total weight)

When it arrived I was checking out the garage for a place it would be accessible but not bump my head on the tires. During that search, I spotted my extension ladder and the space it occupied. After some quick measurements, I decided to use the bicycle holder for the ladder. I was able to mount in the space between the garage door when up and the ceiling. Wasted space put to good use! I'll order another one for the bike.

Works great, not for bike, but for model train layout in garage.
