Costway 20ft Large Metal Chicken Coop, Walk-in Chicken Run Poultry Cage, Waterproof and Sun-Proof Cover, Galvanized Steel Frame, Hen Duck Rabbit House Outdoor Farm Yard (20 x 10 ft, Half Spire)
We have recently set up our chicken coop. We bought the 26x10, and it seems very solid; our chickens enjoy it a lot.
Great chicken coop
Assembly was super easy, I did it myself and it only took one day. Ran out of the cable ties provided so had to buy some more but still had some wire left. I even added an extra foot to go under the whole frame to stop it digging in or out and still had some left. Great product!
Glad I purchased
The frame clicked into place easily. The instructions were clear. It took two people about an hour to build the frame and another hour or two to install the wire mesh and secure it with cable ties. We had enough wire mesh and everything was in the box, and although the box had a hole in it when it was delivered, I was hoping nothing was missing, but all the parts were there. I put my wooden chicken coop in it and my four chickens now have a mini coop!
The triangular support was difficult to install. Otherwise very good.
I'm editing this review to raise the rating to five stars and add more information about the braces. The braces are more of a hassle than I knew when I wrote the first draft of this review, but at least they're there. Most similar coops don't have triangular braces in the corners at all. Once I installed the braces, it did make the frame less wobbly. I think it was worth it, but it was a lot of effort. The frame was easy to assemble, until you get to the triangular braces in the corners, which were clearly an afterthought. The page about installing the braces is not part of the main instructions; it's on a separate page that was inserted later, after the instructions were printed. There are no holes for the screws that hold the braces in place, nor are there any markings to show where they should be put. The triangular braces come with self-tapping screws (they're supposed to make their own holes). I attached an Allen socket to the chuck of my drill and used that to drive the screws. They drilled holes in the aluminum tubes that make up the frame, and I thought everything was OK. Then the screws started to fall out. The self-tapping end on the screw had a hole drilled in it that was slightly too large for the threaded portion of the screw. I had to buy larger diameter screws to fit those holes. Similar screws are used elsewhere to keep the connectors from sliding along the tubes that make up the frame. At first, I thought these screws weren't really necessary, but I eventually decided to put them all in. Again, they don't have holes or markings to indicate where they should go. It wasn't hard to figure out, though. A couple of the screws didn't go away. I replaced the others with larger screws. Other than that, it works just as I expected. I plan to use it to keep deer out of a small vegetable garden. I think it'll come in handy.
Easy to assemble
am very happy with this chicken coop. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. The assembly process was surprisingly easy. All the parts were neatly arranged and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. I had no trouble assembling it.
