Many good uses
This sandbox has many uses. For kids and as a sun shelter for animals.

We placed it under the monkey bars of his playscape. I love that the canopy can be put down or taken off so the monkey bars can still be used. We put 4 50lb bags of play sand in. I think I want to get another 4 bags. We leveled out the area with top soil. We also stapled in some weed stop fabric on the inside / bottom of the sandbox so the grass and weeds won’t grow through the sand, because there is no bottom on this sandbox. It’s made of a very soft light wood. Assembly was pretty easy, I suggest using a drill though, to save your hands from getting blisters, and it also goes WAY faster, maybe took an hour to assemble, and another hour to set up outside. (I started out with just a screwdriver and got a big blister on my thumb, lesson learned) I love that I can put the canopy down over the box to cover it from cats and other critters using it. Such a fun addition to his play scape.

Great while it lasted. The wood was raw so I had to paint it with something that would seal it. Set up wasn’t too hard. I live in Florida so at that time it was rainy season so I think it might up sped up its use.
Wouldn’t get again
The canopy doesn’t slid up and down easily need 2 people. Sand spills out from underneath and when it rains the top holds the water which has stretched it out of shape.
