bought two of these mats and strung them together in a basement room. We mainly use them for contortion practice, and my daughter uses them for dance practice. For the price, they're fantastic. I bought it because I moved into an apartment with hardwood floors, which are so hard that I needed to protect my body while exercising. The mat is very durable and doesn't deform; it's still in great condition after a long time. It's easy to fold and move around without getting in the way. When I'm not exercising, I fold the mat up and leave it on the floor so my cat can use it as a temporary cat bed.
