I read some of the negative reviews and was hesitant to buy it. I figured I could return it even if I had any. I waited a few months before writing a review. So far, none of the issues I've read about in other reviews have occurred, and the bed frame is very sturdy. I used it to transform my antique wood bed frame because it wasn't supporting well enough. Now the wood frame is purely decorative and the metal frame supports all the weight. It nestles perfectly into the wood frame. Other platforms are about 1/2 inch larger (about 0.5 inches) and would not fit my situation. Since there is no way to attach this metal platform to the headboard/footboard, the wood frame "floats" around the metal frame. It works great and did not require me to irreversibly transform my antique furniture.
