Great beginner guitar package for the money

Great beginner guitar package for the money. Impressive looking finish. Out of the box, I was able to tune strings and begin playing, if what I do can be called music as yet. I will have to do some set-up beginning with a truss rod adjustment. Some buzz at the the first fret of the low E string, but not horrible. Someone did a pretty good job at the factory setting the action and intonation, but saddle is set really high. The buzz is minimal and tolerable especially at my current level. I have done a fair amount of investigation and feel confident that I can complete the set-up on my own. From what I've read it is not unusual to have to complete a set-up on much more expensive guitars, so this did not worry me, and at this price point, I am not nervous about gaining some experience in doing the set-up.When first looking I did a lot of review and was hooked on the Squire series guitars. I put a down payment on a Squire 60's Classic Vibe for $399 (without discussing it with my wife first). Since I had no amp, no strap, no stand, no tuner, not even a pic as you can imagine my investment was not just my first guitar. After a not so good discussion with my wife, I got my down payment back and began rethinking what I really needed.I decided on this guitar and amp package along with an inexpensive electronic tuner, Guitar stand and learn to play guitar book all for around $110.00.While this is not a Fender or a Squire, it's quite similar to a Squire Bullet. Its less than half the price of a similar Squire Bullet package. This is a full size guitar that I believe plays well. I don't intend on playing it in concerts, but I have a long way to go before that happens and by that time I will be able to justify purchasing that more expensive guitar. Overall I'm very satisfied and turns out my wife was right in challenging me to rethink my first guitar purchase. At this price point, you can't go wrong and while I didn't have to use any sort of return policy, all new purchases like this have a guarantee.

Perfect for my 12 year old daughter who is learning how to play the bass for band class. She loves it. We had to get it "set up" but for the price its worth it.

I was misled by most of these bad reviews. People complaining about the sound and quality of the guitar. No, it's not perfect right out of the box. With any guitar, it needs to be set up, after that it's great for beginners.
