A great Christmas gift!

I bought this sewing machine for my sister as a Christmas gift. She always shows interest in clothes design so I guess a beginner friendly sewing machine would be a perfect gift, plus, pink is her favorite color! I fell in love with it at the first sight! It seems pretty straight forward but multifunctional. I tried the product before I wrapped it up and I found it easy to use. You basically just choose the stitches you want( there are 12 choices) and switch on. The sewing machine automatically threads! It is also light weight so it will be convenient for my sister to carry it around or store it if not in use. It’s overall a great product. I am pleased with my purchase.

Versatile and Inexpensive Sewing Machine

I am satisfied with my purchase, because this small sewing machine meets my expectation. Since I was young, making hand work has been one of my interests. I was looking for a good quality and inexpensive sewing machine. I wanted to buy a Brother XM2701 which was only $80 on sale, but I do not know why amazon does not sell this model anymore, it is only available from other sellers now and is way too overpriced. There were many other products familiar with this sewing machine on amazon, but I decided to buy this one. The sewing machine is lightweight, and the handle helps to carry it with you anywhere. The sewing machine can be powered by DC adapter or 4 AA batteries; it has 12 basic stitches which are enough for daily use; beginner friendly, there are low and high speed options; it has a small light for night use; you are able to control it by switching button on the machine or by using foot pedal (The foot pedal is very convenient to use, it also reminds me of my mother’s vintage sewing machine in the old days (but this one is a simple version of foot petal); it is easy to take measurement using the ruler printed on the sewing machine; automatic threading, backstitch, cylinder stitch, and cut off function all make it easy for operation. I think this sewing machine is great for home use, it does neat sewing. Overall, it is a basic and versatile sewing machine. I recommend it if you do not want to spend too much on sewing machine, and if you have more budget, Brother CS5055 is also a good choice.

Excellent sewing machine

This is an excellent mini entry sewing machine. It's light. I have never used a sewing machine before. I would say it is very easy to use for beginner like me. It has 12 stitches. I like it very much.

It does what it supposes to!

I bought this sewing machine for my mom since she loves to make small crafting pillow cases and drapes at home. It took her awhile to learn how to use it. Once she gets used to it, she loves it. She has been making some pillow cases already. My mom approved it.

Easy use

I bought it for my mom, she enjoys use it to make baby clothes and change clothes styles, it is not heavy that easy move, and easy use it that had 12 different sew types which one you like. My mom likes it

This machine is easy to use - though a little tricky to thread the needle, esp. for old hands and eyes.I love the fact that you can run it on battery power, in case there isn't a plug nearby.Be aware that if you store it, you need to turn at least 2 batteries. It still runs with one battery turned the wrong way. I love that you can use the on/speed switch to run it without using your feet. I really like this machine.

Great first sewing machine

I bought 2 of these, one for each of my 2 oldest granddaughters, ages 6 and 8. The 8 year old can handle it quite well on her own and has been making all kinds of things. The 6 year old needs a bit more supervision, the slower setting is perfect for her. She already made a blanket for her baby brother. It's small and lightweight enough for a child, but an actual REAL sewing machine, not a cheapy toy. My 7 yr old grandson wants me to teach him to sew now too. Great skill for boys and girls to know!

good purchase for beginner

I purchase this more my wife and she loves it . It is her first time to use sewing machine. She just started a crafting class and she loves spend her spare time to make some useful items at home.This sewing machine is very easy to use. It comes with 12 stitches which makes it a useful and powerful tool for a beginner. She loves it and I don't need to go to the tailor shop for my pants anymore.

Awesome little machine!

I love my little sewing machine. I have used it for many projects and have tested its limits pretty fiercely lol. Be aware that like all sewing machines, if you put the bobbin in backward, it will tangle every time. It also has a definite limit on the thickness that it can handle, this is the smallest one that can still throw a reverse stitch. I have gotten it to work with light canvas and fleece, just not too many layers at a time. If the material is too strong and you find that you are bending needles, go for a stronger needle. This was my first sewing machine and it really helped me get in the groove of sewing without doing too much overwhelming.

Machine broke after one use, sad thing is I didn't use it until months after purchase so I couldn't return it??
