Costway Crock Pot

Have used the crock pot twice now and it works well. Would have given it 5 stars except when it was received, the aluminum lining on one side of the inside of pot was crinkled. I was able to push it back into shape with my fingers, although not completely removing all the crinkles. Pkg was well wrapped with styrofoam, so I don't know if the buckling was caused by the shipping people as they love to throw the packages around. Most recently I had a spice jar where the screw-on lid came completely off in the package and there have been other examples in the past where the box or pkg was handled roughly. I suspect this crock pot was in perfect condition when it left the factory, but it is cheap and the metal material is thin, so if it was roughly handled, I can see how a dint occurred in one of its corners.

Straight forward, no bells or whistles.

I like the fact that this slow cooker is just what it is. Low, high and warm. If I wanted all the probes and temperature settings I would use mt oven.

I'm just one person, but I like to make batches of things I can freeze. I was going to get a smaller one, but couldn't beat this price! So far, I've used it for chili (starting with dried beans), a really tasty chicken stew, and yogurt! I was a bit worried about it holding the right temps for yogurt, but no prob at all. My dtr has now bought one, too!

Used three times and very satisfied. I will do a followup test on low and high temperatures to assure using the correct settings. I think this will be a better cooker than a Cuisinart I threw out.

great all around cooking tool that all; kitchens need. Works well. Doesnt have anything fancy. But you dont need anything fancy. This works great.
