Console Table with Drawer Storage Shelf for Entryway Hallway

I am BEYOND tired of kids always using my kitchen table and kitchen island as their backpack holder. We have an older home so no mud room, and our laundry room is NOT attached to the back door or I\'d put up some kind of pegs for backpacks. We also have a dog that LOVES to go \"shopping\" in anything that resembles a purse, bag, or backpack so these kinds of things need to be higher. Finally came up with the brilliant idea of an entry way table for back door. GENIUS!!! Size does matter, as well as how much weight could this thing hold??? Ordered, was delivered within 2 days. Very well packaged. No Problems there. All parts and hardware were in package as well. The instructions were ok, but you just need to pay attention to which boards have what holes. One board was NOT numbered but that was no big deal. Figured it out. Probably took a little over an hour to put together by myself. Not Hard at all. I did use a little wood glue with the wooden pegs just for extra durability. I already put most of the bags on the table. And I\'m BEYOND THRILLED that the crap is off my table/island!!!!! I am a little concerned about how much weight the drawer can hold. Was hoping to put my 2 work computers in the drawer so those are off my table as well. Something to be aware of is that I thought this thing had 2 drawers but only has one long drawer. Not a big deal. But descriptions says, \"each drawer can hold 22 pounds.\" We\'ll see. So cross your fingers. The table says it can hold up to 132 pounds. I\'m not putting more then about 40 pounds of bags on this things. Table really is good looking! I love the black color and the little antique gold hardware really is nice looking. Very, Very, VERY happy with this purchase!!!

those silly metal inserts that you twist to lock on to the steel screw are flimsy. 3 bent trying to install them. It wasn't enough to hinder construction of the furniture though. i wish they'd use a different fastener system. I was also a bit surprised that no glue was provided with the kit for the dowels. i guess that's something a lot of the furniture sellers don't provide anymore. not the end of the world.

The table is well constructed and nice. Putting it together does take some time and the directions were pretty easy and clear.
