very dependable and attractive water pressure
Keeps Water Clear. Our Koi pond is aprox 350 gallon. Water would go from clear to grean in one week and in two weeks we could not see fish at all. We emptied the pond and installed this unit and refilled. CLEAR WATER EVER SINCE (90 days plus). There is a philips head screw on the bottom of the unit that must be taken out to remove cover. This is mentioned in other reviews. It IS NOT in the instructions. Remove screw and LEAVE OUT and maintenance becomes very simple. Other than removing the unnecessary screw - it is "plug and play".
It worked great for a few weeks . But sadly it has died already.
This filter pump works well. I found that there was a hole in the elbow that connects the UV light to the pump. I read reviews about this same model pump on other listings saying that they also found a hole in the elbow. Factory defect or disgruntled employee. I don’t know if it was supposed to be there but it effects the water flow. I had a rubber grommet plug that fit right in the hole and it’s working properly now. Also under the bottom of the box there’s one small screw that needs to come out in order to remove the top. So before you break it turn it over its in there where the handle is located. I just kept it out because the two clamps on the side keeps it closed and makes it easier to get to when it’s time to clean it.
