This thing is great

This is the second ramp I've owned. This is by far the best one I've seen yet. It is a little bulky and does take up quite a bit of space, but with a 100lb, older laborador, it is SOLID. It doesn't flex under him or get wobbly.

Works great to get my 12 year old lab into my Ram 3500. Folds in half and stores nicely in bed of truck. Sandpaper surface provides good grip.

This is the longest, sturdiest, strongest, with the best traction surface for small and large dogs that I’ve ever used. It will support my 258lbs without distortion and folds easily to be carried with the convenient handle. The surface is anon-skid sandpaper like texture which doesn’t irritate foot pads and never gets slippery like the AstroTurf ramps. The longer length makes the angle of climb easy on older dogs with bad backs or hips. The “ sill” at the top is flattened and doesn’t damage cars or decks. The ground contact surface is tapered nicely to allow for greater security and transition.

Excellent for letting dogs in and out of the RV. A 250lb friend walked on it and works fine.

Very sturdy, great nonslip surface

This ramp is very nice. Sturdy, with a great nonslip surface. It is long enough to get my dog with spinal issues into the back of our 3/4 ton Chevy diesel truck and our camper that sits up pretty high. The ONLY reason why I docked it a star is for manageability. I'm 5'2" and it is more difficult for me to setup and fold back down than the three piece telescoping one we borrowed from the vet. Other than that, this is an excellent choice.

The surface is sand paper.!!!! A few dog cookies and one of them love it. I looked at the paws and no scratches. Easy to handle, store with bungie on side of truck bed. I am sure with some more cookie my second dog will be loving life once she figures out if she does the ramp she gets to go. LOL

Great ramp

Our four elderly small dogs were having difficulty climbing the stairs on our porch. Once trained to the ramp (small dog treats strategically placed upon it and the rest of the stairs blocked off for about a week) our dogs use it readily. Lightweight aluminum construction with a non-skid coating on top. Has held up well in the rain. A heavy dog should have no problem - it holds my 225 lb. weight too. Folds in half and easily portable.

The ramp would get 5 stars but it arrived with a 1" spot where the abrasive coating was missing. There was no apparent freight damage so it must have left the factory that way. The ram itself is very sturdy. It compares to a motorcycle ramp in strength and looks like it will last a long time.

It's easy to use

It's easy to use, and my dane took right to it. He will not do steps. I leave it in the bed of my 4x4 pick up truck. He is now eight years old and he no longer can jump into the truck. It fits perfect in the back door, and he has plenty of room left for himself. Thanks Amazon.

The incline of the 8 ft. version works great!

This ramp is very sturdy for my 90# dog and would be sturdy for a much bigger dog as well. I tried a 6' ramp before purchasing this 8' ramp, and the difference was significant. I had to return the 6' ramp I bought due to the incline it created for my old dog to get in/out of the RV. This 8' version is great though! She even prefers the ramp now when getting out of the cab of the truck rather than jumping down. This is very light weight for carrying, folds in half, and the sandpaper like covering provides great traction.

Although I am not using this for a larger pet, my application is a semi-permanent mount outside my deck for our little Maltese that has trouble with the stairs. Modified with a side rail so she doesn't accidently fall off and a couple of days for her to get used to this has allowed her independence again.

Very nicely done,very sturdy and easy to use 110 # dog using it with no problem very sturdy.

Great ramp

Very well built, it is an excellent ramp. Even the 8' ramp is still a little steep on a 4x4 tailgate; it just took a little practice for my German Shorthair and he now goes up and down with ease.
