62 Inches Large Cat Tower with Metal Frame and Jumping Platforms

Just installed it and have had no problems so far and my two kittens love it! It looks very nice and is very sturdy. It was fairly easy to put together and it is worth the money.

My kitten loves it, even the bowl after I put a towel in it. The perch is the right size for a kitten or small cat, but not for my normal sized adult cat. There are no parts missing, but I emailed the company to ask how well the "wood" part of the perch would hold up to moisture on a wet porch and have not received a response. I bought it anyway and it will be kept indoors forever.

It's super sturdy and the base is big and heavy. It's really soft and the fabric is great. Unfortunately the fabric has ripped at the seam on one of the posts. It was tricky to put together because there are so many parts. I'm not sure if this thing would be good for a large cat, my cat is smaller and can't fit on the round platform or into the box. My cat loves it so I'll use it until it breaks in completely, but next time I'll get a larger platform and box.

Not sure where to start with this review. Listing pros/cons? Let's start with the packaging. This thing was packaged extremely well. Was it because the packaging had a lot of extra junk? Yes. However, I appreciated that the acrylic bowl was placed in custom cut foam to protect it from damage. I also liked that all the assembly parts were neatly placed in neatly organized trays. Just don't open them upside down like I did. First, I laid everything out. Then I was intimidated. I love assembling furniture, but I have to say, this piece has too many parts. The first thing I noticed after unboxing was that all of the particleboard was perfectly polished on all sides - even the ones that meet and can't be seen. That's really nice. I was not too happy with the fact that the front and back boards were just thin laminate and not solid "wood". However, I did notice that the two boards could be easily swapped so that this tree could face either the left or right side. That's nice. The biggest downside is the assembly method. It uses cam lock fasteners. I hate these things. They just don't make solid joints. They wiggle too much. The instructions were very well written. I would watch the video first. But I didn't. If I had done that, I probably wouldn't have reversed step 6 and had to backtrack. Do you know how hard it is to get the cam lock out? It's really hard. Notice that on the piece with the two entry holes, there are pre-drilled holes on the top for the top stair. It's more than symmetrical. Also, I posted a picture with some markings. 100% swap steps 11 and 12. This is stupid - do step 12 first. This will save you "some" of the trouble of having to do step 11. Gosh, good luck to you. You're trying blindly - literally, and trying to fix something you can't see upside down at a weird angle. Good luck to you. That being said, my cat kept staring at this thing during assembly. He loved it! I was laying down the carpet pad and he had already climbed up and was blocking my way. He got under the litter box and immediately started attacking the four scratching posts. I put it in the litter box and he started attacking the ball in the corner. The cat had a blast. He doesn’t hide in the litter box much, but I at least love the fluffy butt pads in it. I’ve found that if I put him in the litter box, he’s happy but won’t jump in on his own. I think that’s because he can’t see that there’s something to jump into. So I put a blanket in there. I know it’ll hide the cute toe beans and curled up cat cuteness, but it’s probably more comfortable with a blanket over it anyway. Even if the blanket distracts from the clean aesthetic. Now that the blanket is in there, this is his most frequent haunt. He’ll trot upstairs and into his little kitty litter box. My husband says he spends most of his time there while I’m at work. I bought this so I could make him a tall bowl to sit in. I wanted him to have a high place to sit by the window. This is perfect! He sits in the bowl and watches people coming and going through the front window. I had to leave the blinds for him. This is his favorite place in the house. I also bought this for its simple design. Thanks so much for not covering it up with a rug! I hate those ugly cat climbing frames! And if he pukes on it, I can just wipe it up or wash the part he pukes on (the rug pad is held on with velcro). All in all, I really like the finished product. It would definitely be 5 stars if it was screwed together instead of cam locks. Even with the cam locks, it's very sturdy. My cat pounces on this thing and it's totally fine. He loves it and I'm happy with how it looks. It's great. So I give it 4 stars.

This tower is cute and easy to put together. It's big and pretty and perfect for a cat to scratch on. It looks great and my cat loved it for a while, but I noticed it has a strong chemical smell and my cat gets little black spots all over her when she lays in it. I have no idea what the cause is. She got fleas almost immediately after buying it and I'm worried there's a connection? Hopefully just coincidence. Other than that, it was an absolutely great purchase!
