Assembly was time consuming but the end result was worth it. I like the fact that you can anchor to the wall.

Great shelf

Assembly instructions are easy to follow. Plenty of shelf space. I personally haven't had any tipping issues. I have one very small issue. I bought one of these shelves a year ago, and recently bought a second to set them side by side. The older one had become slightly warped over the past year so the edges just barely didn't quite line up. Other than that, it was a great investment

Decent Purchase

My son had purchased and assembled 2 Tangkula shelves. I loved the appearance. When I purchased them, he told me putting it together was a little tricky but I remained persistent. They are pretty sturdy once adhered to the wall. Once the directions were understood, assembly was easy.

Exactly what I needed, quality expected for the price

I was hesitant to purchase this shelf unit after reading some of the negative reviews, but it was the only one I could find that fit my needs and dimensions. I have had copious experience with Ikea assembly and found this item to be similar and simple. Quality was only slightly inferior to Ikea. Some of the pieces were dirty and had to be wiped down. None of the pieces were damaged except for the small chip on the edge of one shelf, as shown in a picture I included. As pictured, it was corrected with a paint pen. Many have asked if this shelf can be used as a room divider with the side of the shelf anchored to the wall. This is exactly how I utilized the shelf. That said, it is far too lightweight to be used in any capacity without anchoring, and hardware was included. However, for a clean look with no brackets visible. I simply drilled pilot holes through the three side sections touching the wall and anchored into a stud in the wall with long wood screws, then painted the screw heads white. As seen in my included photos the metal cams are quite large and obvious. I chose to get the vinyl stickers to cover them, but again a paint pen could camouflage them nicely, and I may decide to try that in the future. I am pleased with purchase, just don't expect the best quality.

I’m very happy with these! They look amazing in my living room. You will HAVE TO brace these to the wall, they are very tall and thin and will be wobbly otherwise. Will these last forever? Probably not. But for the price, you can’t beat it!

Easily recommend

Instructions were simple for piecing it together and the parts weren’t cheap feeling as i thought they may be. I looked around for a good bookshelf for weeks and all over other websites and ended up landing on this one. For the price and feel i would gladly, and most likely will, buy another.

Sturdy?! Read this for the low down....

I know that this “book case” /shelf had gotten some weak reviews due to its lack of sturdyness. But I have to throw our experience out there. I loved the look of this bookcase!I It’s very aesthetically pleasing to look at! It’s got a little bit of funk, which I also really like. I wanted something completely different from your “basic” bookshelf! I also needed a shallower shelf with less width! My living room is nightmarishly small and awkwardly shaped. Part of the shelf had to cross over my couch and there was no way I could achieve that with a shelf that had a regular width! My husband put the bookcase together with no problems! It was very easy. And once it was built, yes, it definitely felt unstable. (The case doesn’t have a backing piece like most bookcases do. So you loose a bit there!) Also when it’s standing alone and not against a wall, that makes it even less sturdy! So don’t get this bookcase to use as a divider!! Total tiny human hazard. (Or a drunk human..) Once we had the bookcase exactly where we wanted it on the wall, my husband screwed it In place!! (There are metal tabs attached already for this purpose. The tabs are easily hidden so you don’t even have to see them!) This bookshelf isn’t going anywhere!! It’s completely stable and we have no worries there! So...it’s very easy to make this bookcase stable and sturdy if you’re in love with it but are worried about it staying upright! It looks great in our living room! :)
