Desk went together beautifully. I was worried at first, with the number of parts I thought it would be a total nightmare. But putting the parts together page by page made the desk less daunting than I had anticipated. I bought the faux-wood version, and it just looks so lovely! I had no issues with things not lining up or anything like that, everything went together quite perfectly. I was honestly quite surprised at how well it fit together. Now if I could only get my internet to work properly so I could actually use this desk to work from home!
I Spend a ton of time working at my desk. Writing, Producing, playing games; it all goes down at the desk. I'd gotten quite annoyed at the old desk, as it was a behemoth, but not really what I needed. Sure, it had half a dozen drawers, but for the amount of space it took up, it really didn't do what I wanted it to do.Enter this one.The L-Shape fit my space almost perfectly. As I use multiple monitors, I tend to prefer the L-type desks in general. I'm always looking to the side. I also tend to use a laptop on the desk as a side kick to the PC, so that really lends to the L-Shape format.Let me get my very minor issues out of the way first. The legs. They ARE labeled, I'm just a bonehead, and didn't pay attention well enough. There are 4 leg sections. 3 of one type, and one of the other. That other is the one the CPU tower mounts on. I wasn't paying attention, and wound up having to undo some work when I realized my error. Next up, the cross bars. While they add a good deal of stability, they do cut into my available log space. But they give me something to put my feat up on. I just can't stash a trash can under the desk very effectively. And back to the CPU shelf, I don't like the way it mounts, and basically just hangs there. It only bolts to the one side, and has no leg under it to support the tower. Also, it's pretty small. My full ATX Mid-Tower case dwarfs it, and only barely fits the foot print of the hole for the desk, but is far deeper than this shelf. Finally, I had one problem with a bolt hole that had a bit of gooped solder in it. A few moments with a drill on very low speed, and a smaller bit, and I was able to resolve that. I might have been able to do it with an awl and hammer had I not had the drill. It got in the way, but didn't stop assembly. By the time I'd gotten there, there was no turning back.If my space were mirrored, which I would greatly prefer, this desk would accommodate that. You can absolutely build it with the short side to the right instead of the left as described. The cross bars could be inverted if you so desired, purely aesthetics. I also like that the little shelf has two heights, and can be put wherever you want on the desk. It fits the short side as pictured in the listing, but it also works on the other side. I believe the design is that this is a monitor riser, but my monitors far outclass that. But being able to put it where you want it is nice, and definitely something I like about the design. If I were building the desk again, I would definitely have put a couple zip ties between the desk surface, and the rear bracing bars. This would allow me to use them for some cable management, which would be cool. Honestly though, I am using binder clips for this, and it works amazingly well without marring the desk surface. All in, this desk far outclasses what I was using. The construction was I would say intermediate. I wound up taking longer than I really should have to get it built, but that was mostly due to my mistakes. So far I am really happy with this desk, and loving it. Much better work flow.
Fantastic desk! Quality construction! it has an appearance of real rustic wood top. This desk surprised me, in a good way! I was skeptical at first because of the relatively low cost that it would be lacking quality but I am impressed. It isn’t real wood of course but the wood look panels feel nice & sturdy. All pieces arrived in excellent condition & well packed. It was relatively easy to put together and measurements were accurate. It took me & my husband an hour to assembled it. Absolutely perfect desk for my computer & a great match with the other desk in my craft room. I love that corner spot where I can rest my arms while holding the mouse & also the foot rest is a big plus. This desk fits perfectly in my room and I am happy with it. Can’t say enough good things about it!
I’m happy with this, it’s exactly as pictured and came with really detailed I structions
This is a great desk. So easy to put together. All the parts were labeled and directions were clear, that’s a lot to ask for these days. The desktop is heavy duty and smooth. The monitor riser is so handy. Overall a great product
