This cooler is AWESOME!

This cooler is so good I bought a second one. I have had one for about 3 years and use it for camping with solar panels and a battery. I now have one for a cold food and drinks and one for a freezer. It's GREAT! I highly recommend it and will buy again. It's also great to have around with the solar panels and batter in case of power outage or disaster.

Great product/sloppy AC cord connection

Great product cools fast not heavy. Only. Incern is AC cord is loose fitting into transformer. Falls out or disconnects easily. Contacted customer support to see if this was a faulty AC cord. I have not recieved any reply as of the date of this review. Approx 2weeks and waiting for reply.Otherwise great product at an affordable price. Works super with off grid lithium battery on DC voltage.

I like it for the price to the others. I have taken this refrigerator off road in my truck for a week and it's still working like a champ.

So far, so good

I've used for a few weeks now, nonstop. I am using the provided 120V AC to 12V DC Adapter. Unit uses ~50w-60w when running. It cools very well and will actually freeze if you set temp. low enough. We will see how long it works.1 star off for latching device which works, but may not stand the test of time.

Needed for Propane Ref while in Motion

Not used long term yet, but unit will cool cans in 30 minutes to 40 degrees starting at 80 degrees.

We used the cooler during a coast-to-coast trip in the US, it worked perfectly! It's great advantage that it can be plugged into a power spot at home.The car was parking in the parking lots under the sun for hours, and still the cooler kept being cold.Highly recommended

Easy to use

We tried the Costway fridge this weekend to test it before going out for a weekend trip. It worked great! I appreciated the other reviews that go into detail about set up and settings, and it worked great! We used it while cooking out to keep drinks cold, but will be using it while traveling for a month in our car in August. It cooled quick and I think it will be worth the extra money spent to get something better than just one that cools from ambient temp.

I like it.

It sure is nice not having to purchase ice everyday. It works good. You just plug it in and your ready to go. It does have options, such as an energy saving mode that require you to read the manual - but, it is easy to set-up.

Great buy

First time using something like this. So far so good. Plugged in and it went down to 0 with in 20 mins. Have used in a couple short trips but no long overland trips yet. Couple friends have this brand and highly recommend. These are almost identical to the smittybilt.

Great Value

Great value. This has worked out great for us. Went from a 75 qt cooler and happy to have made the change. Fits nicely in the truck and keeps everything cold.

EXCELLENT service from seller

This fridge is awesome, very well made, and works perfectly with my GZ Yeti 1400 in my van. On the low setting it sips power and can go for several days. I had a small problem with the unit when it arrived, there was a crack near the handle, likely due to mishandling during shipping, but the seller was extremely responsive and took care of the issue promptly and with genuine concern, rare to see that these days! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

 This has been perfect for us. It takes a few times to get the exact temp you need for your liking and the items you’re packing. We ran this off a second battery. Perfect for camping...no more ice trips and soggy food.

Great quality and affordable

Great purchase! My husband and I lived in a converted van for 6 months and the Costway cooler saved our lives!!! We were able to run it 24/7 just with our solar panel system. The price is really affordable and the quality is great. We were able to fit groceries for a week and sometimes even a little more, it’s not huge but have enough space. One thing I can’t review about it is the freezer option because we never tried but the temperature control worked great every time we adjusted. I read reviews where people complained about the noise but I totally disagreed, it’s not silent but it’s also not noisy at all!!!! Anyways, we have no regrets about it.

Decent fridge - needs factory resets of temp sensor/controls periodically

It's not a bad fridge, especially for the money. It's a re-badged Smitty Built Arctic 2789, which sells for quite a bit more money, but clearly is made in the exact same factory in China and just has their logo on it instead of the Costway one.I put one of these in my campervan and it has worked nicely. It is certainly powerful enough, even in the summer months. The one big complaint I have is that the fridge needs to be factory reset pretty often. The fridge needs to be reset when you set it to a certain temp (ie. 36F), but the compressor doesn't kick on and start cooling, so the fridge will just show the current internal temp (let's say something like 70F), but it won't do anything. The instructions on how to reset the control panel are not included anywhere in the manual/troubleshooting/on the MFG's website or anything, so here they are for anyone who needs them:1) Turn fridge on2) Hold down the Set button for approx 10 seconds until it starts flashing E1, then release the Set button3) Hold down both up and down buttons together for approx 10 seconds until it starts flashing 888. Release the up and down buttons.4) Wait approx 10 seconds for the 888 to stop flashing, and it will reset itself. Go back and change the default settings to what you need, ie switch to Farenheight and reset the target temp.5) It will take up to 60 seconds for the compressor to kick on and start cooling.One time I did the factory settings reset using this procedure and it didn't work, so I did it again, still didn't work, so I unplugged it, waited ~30 seconds just to make sure it was fully off, plugged it back in and then did the factory reset a third time and then it worked...
