We have this hooked up in our travel van and it’s great can remove and use as a rolling cooler. Gets very cold and even can freeze.

My new, favorite car freezer after testing 6 others

It has been nearly a year since I purchased my first car freezer, and since then I had reviewed and compared six of them from friends, coworkers, and family. Each one had positives and negatives, and even though the Foho BCD-32 (34qt) and BCD-52 (55qt) were my favorites, none were perfect. Perhaps more interesting was that they all (including those by Smittybilt, Whynter, and Costway) were manufactured by Alpicool who also sell car freezers under their own brand. Yet, the Fohos were the more silent ones and felt solid enough to withstand a nuclear explosion.

Great for camping or road trips

This is a really nice portable fridge that is really great for road trips or camping. I really like how well this fridge fits into the back seat. Its large capacity is great for taking the family on a road trip or great for a weekend camping. This plugs into a 12V outlet and has an easy to read LCD screen that makes setup a breeze. This is a really nice dual zone set up so you can have both freezer and fridge options. It cools down to temperature really quickly and is insulated really well so it holds temp nicely. It has battery protection so when you have it plugged in you don’t have to worry about surge protection. If you need some extra space when company comes over you can even plug it into a normal 110V outlet so you can use it in the house as well as your car. So far it’s been a really nice addition on our road trip and performed well overall.

Comes with wheels and a pull handle so its easy to move around

Perhaps the best part of this so far is the speedy delivery. I had it within a few days. I plugged it in and it started getting cold immediately. It reached 28 degrees within a short time. I have not taken this cooler on any trips yet, but plan a two month car trip within the next month. I will write another review after the trip.

Best buy ever!

I go on fire assignments and this was a life saver. Most often we get to incidents before the food and with Covid, you never know what kind of food we will get. MRE or just stuff put in a bag. I was able to eat healthy the entire time I was out. Just plugged into vehicle. It would stay cool for a couple days if not turned on. I love it! Its quiet too!

Great for vacation

We took this on a vacation and kept the colds cold and the frozen just right. The reason for buying this was so when we go grocery shopping I can buy frozen foods and get them home without them thawing. The only problem is they don’t fit a pizza box laying down.I would recommend it

Well designed cooler with Many features

This powered cooker works well. It cools down quickly, easy to operate, versatile with the ability to have two separate temperature compartments and can be controlled from a phone ap by Bluetooth. The wheels are very good as the cooler is a bit heavy. The other nice feature is a drain that makes for easy cleaning when necessary. Well designed and a good value with many features.

Love the option to make it freezer and refrigerator.

I think it's a perfect size for when I go to Parks, lakes and camping. I enjoyed that it has two options to keep half of it refrigerator half of a freezer or make the whole cooler just refrigerate or freeze. It's not too heavy for how it looks and begins to cool quickly. I am so happy with this product can't say I found any thing negative on it yet.

 Went from 29c to 1c in about 65 mins. Consumed about 55w. App is nice. About 40 lbs maybe.

Outstanding Freezer/Refrigerator.

Used it for a 7000mile road trip. It worked without any troubles. Made it easy to pack frozen and cold items in the truck. I used a Jackery Portable Power Station Explorer 500 battery pack when I left the unit in my truck over night. Otherwise it was plugged into my truck. The app doesn't work that well. The app works if your phone is near you, but without Wi-Fi near, it doesn't work. At least for me it didn't. I actually never found it was needed. I would highly recommend the freezer/refrigerator. I may just keep the unit in my truck in place of my ice cooler.

Great freezer with plenty of room.

I ran it for 2 weeks after I received it. I made ice in it. I ran it half fridge and half freezer for one week and all freezer the next week. So far so good, I love it. Only thing that sucked was removing the stupid energy guide sticker. Should be easier.

48 hour power outage 2 weeks ago, lost minimal food. Misplaced DC power adapter, but plugged into our 08 Durango AC outlet and it kept things down around 0. I ran the truck a lot, not sure if internal battery protection on fridge stopped drawing power when engine off, fuse to keep power flowing when engine was off was in the correct position. Burned 4 gallons of gas over 36 hours of idling, not bad! We've used this 7X24 since receiving it, no problems, great buy. Looking for a "blanket" to provide additional insulation.

Keeps at temp I set it at. Holds as much or slightly more than typical cooler
