Cannot be beaten for value as a second machine.
I purchased the 5" version with the intent of swapping to a 3" backing plate for doing detail work in tight spots. Worked perfectly for this purpose. I was concerned with excessive vibration after switching to 3", but it's just fine. Not as smooth as a purpose built but very controllable and feels "right" for this purpose. I tried it with the 5" pad first and did not notice any undue bogging down that others have described. With the 3" pad I can really give 'er the beans with no lagging at all. Couldn't be happier! BTW - For anyone wanting to swap pads it takes a standard 5/16" thread backing plate.

Speed is adjustable. Only used it a few times so can’t comment on durability yet but so far so good. It got the job done.

Works great!
Wasn’t expecting much for the price and I’ve never used a polisher before but wanted something cheaper to try. I needed to polish my headlights. It does seem to get a little warm after 5 minutes but didn’t get hot enough that I was worried.

- Q:Do you have any info on the amount of vibration this unit puts out? Also, do you know if this unit stalls under pressure?A:The No-Load speed of the item is 2000-6400rpm. And the item might stall if it is strong pressure..
