Recently, the gas company stopped supplying gas to fireplaces for regulatory reasons, so my rarely used gas fireplace is now completely unusable. I've always wanted my fireplace to be cozier, especially during holidays. A while ago, the Airbnb I stayed at had a small electric fireplace, so I started thinking about buying one myself. I chose this electric fireplace because I wanted it not only to be aesthetically pleasing but also to keep my downstairs apartment warm without central heating when the temperature drops to 40-50 degrees Fahrenheit (10-10 degrees Celsius). Since the infrared model was advertised as heating 1000 square feet (about 93 square meters)—much larger than the standard 400 square feet (about 37 square meters)—I felt the extra cost was worthwhile. I'm happy to tell you that it was absolutely worth it. It warms my downstairs TV and gaming area while keeping my upstairs sleeping area cool and comfortable—perfect for me. Previously, with central heating, I had to turn on the air conditioner at night to reach a comfortable sleeping temperature. But now, with this heater, that problem is solved, and it also saves on electricity bills because I don't need to turn on the central heating or air conditioning. The power cord is also quite long. I was worried about whether I would need an extension cord, but it turns out it can be plugged directly into the nearest outlet without any problem. Of course, unless your fireplace has a dedicated outlet to hide the power cord, you have to accept the fact that the power cord protrudes from the fireplace. Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. It looks beautiful in my fireplace, and because of the screen in front of the fireplace opening, it's hard to tell at first glance that it's actually just an electric heater with pretty lights. It certainly doesn't look like a real fire, but it's realistic enough to create the atmosphere of a fireplace, much better than a dark and cold empty fireplace. And, although it sounds a bit cheesy, I really like its crackling sound effect. It sounds natural, not like a recording (there is no background noise when playing back), and it feels warm and cozy. Even my partner, who initially thought it was silly, eventually told me, "You know what? I actually quite like the crackling sound." My pets (especially my old cat) love it too, as you can see in the photos. If you just want something nice to look at, I suggest you don't buy the infrared version; but if you want a real auxiliary heat source that can actually warm you, this one will definitely meet your needs, and it looks beautiful too.

This fireplace heater is affordable and excellent. I bought it for my elderly father so he can turn it on whenever he needs it, eliminating the need to turn on the entire house's heating. The flames dance very realistically. It's also incredibly simple and easy to use. The heat output perfectly meets my father's needs.
