Looks great, very comfortable, easy to assemble
This is the easiest thing I have ever assembled. It has stood up to rain and hot, humid weather. The cushions on the stool also keep out the rain; the water beads up and just brushes it off.
Come for entertainment..
purchased four chairs in total. They came in two boxes, one of which contained two chairs that needed to be assembled. The boxes were packed very well and all the parts were well protected during shipping. All the parts were intact after unpacking. There was a lot of assembly work to do, and here are the lessons I learned to make the assembly process easier. 1) The instructions only have pictures, no text. Most of it makes sense. 2) The hardware and assembly tools come in a very tight blister pack. See pictures. Do yourself a favor and start assembling from the back. This is much easier than cutting through the front. I labeled the Dixie cups and organized the parts that way. They are similar sizes and can be easily confused if not organized. Each part has one more part than needed. 3) Completely assemble one chair first and learn from the experience. The second through fourth chairs came together much faster. 4) I followed the advice of another reviewer and used my own tools instead of the provided tools, which made assembly much easier. See pictures. AT handle 4mm hex wrench and 10mm ratchet/socket to reduce a lot of cursing. 5) I assembled on a large dining table to reduce the need to bend over and keep things level and for best visibility. 6) When assembling the legs, make sure to center and evenly space them, otherwise you may not be able to attach the seat/swivel plate and line up the bolts with the holes in the crossbar. It is recommended not to tighten any bolts in this step until all bolts are in and the nuts are being tightened. On my fourth chair, I had to tear it apart and start over. Make sure the screws in the leg adjusters don't back out and fall out. Hand tightening is fine. 7) When assembling the back (last step), leave the back arm bolts a little loose, otherwise you will not be able to get the back in place. Once all the bolts are in place and starting to tighten, you can tighten them all. 8) Some steps are easier to do with two people, especially the back, so that one person can hold the back while the other tightens the bolts. 9) Although there are some videos on YouTube, I didn't find one specifically for these chairs. All in all, it was not hard to assemble with the right preparation and tools. Four chairs, practice makes perfect. These chairs were to replace similar chairs that were 11 years old and the material was beginning to crack. The price was a good deal.
