Great rolling solution!
Got this to replace my Purple Leaf base for the Purple Leaf 8x8 patio umbrella, without wheels it was very impractical as the sun shifts throughout the day! It was very easy to move my Purple Leaf umbrella from its base - just 4 screws - and it fit perfectly into this new base. I had problem with one screw hole but just hammered in the screw for stability. Filling the base with sand was the same tedious process as with my original base. Unlike some other review mentioned, even when filled with 50 lb of sand, I am able to roll the base with umbrella pretty easily and smoothly. So glad I found this solution to make my umbrella provide shade all day long!

This umbrella stand is amazing! We only filled it with water. It is in a slight alcove, but the 10 mile an hour winds have been no problem at all. Absolutely no movement for our giant 10 x 10 square cantilever umbrella.

I live on top of a mountain with a lot of random winds. This is exactly what I needed for a large cantilever umbrella. I love that you can roll it around, but also with a socket set lower to the ground to prevent rolling. I usually keep the wheels down, as I roll it around my deck as needed. The weight is sufficient with just water to prevent the umbrella from tipping. Happy with purchase and no issues bolting my umbrella to it.
