This is exactly what I was looking for. My husband and I put it together in no time. I put my iguana in it. We love it and so does my iguana.
Why did you choose this product over others? : I needed a product that my two kittens could use in a small space. Both of my kittens love it. They use the top and bottom. I like that it folds up easily for easy travel. It is also easy to wipe clean if needed.
My cat hates this because it's not a burrowing cat, but I gave it to my niece and her fur kids love it! It's easy to set up and has a little cushion inside for them to lay on when they don't want to hide. I love the little scratching post on the side and the little hanging toy that they have fun playing with. The only downside is that it's not ventilated so your cats tend to get a little hot when they're laying in it. I would still recommend it if your cat likes to hide.
The feral cats who live nearby love this house. To cope with the cold Michigan winters, I insulated the house with insulation boards, put straw on the bottom of the house, and then put a self-heating mat on top of the straw. I originally tried to use only straw, but the cats did not like using the house that way. Since I put the self-heating mat in, they use it every day. I bought several self-heating mats so that I can change and wash them as I worry about them getting soaked by the snow and don't want the cats to freeze. I wish the cover of this house was easier to open for changing beds, so that's my only complaint about this house. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and it's comforting to know that the feral cats have a comfortable shelter to sleep in during the cold winter months.
I bought it eight years ago because my cat likes to go out and come back after a few hours. If I'm not home, he can stay there comfortably. He loves it and I also have to praise the manufacturer for creating such a practical, easy to clean and beautiful product.
