This was very easy to assemble by a female that's not very handy, lol. I realized I didn't even use the instructions paper at all and I already had it all together. It took me by myself about 45 to 50 minutes to put it together. I do not recommend using the tools that came with the hoop to put the screws on. Use power tools and save yourself a lot of time and headache, lol. I didn't put water in the base at all. I only put 4 bags of 25 lbs. All purpose sand on top of the base, that's it and they did the trick. It's not for adults but I did play some basketball with my son and it was fun. My son will be 7 years old next month and he loves it. Overall, this would be a great gift for any kids between the ages of 4 to 10 I would say. I highly recommend at this great price.
